GIA Diamond Certificates in 3 Minutes

1) Date of GIA certificate issuance
2) GIA Certificate Number: This 10-digit number is specific to your diamond. No other GIA diamond has the same number as yours.
3) Shape: Describe the shape of the diamond, e.g., round, pear, heart, etc.
4) Measurement: This is the unit of measurement for the width, length and depth of the diamond, measured in millimeters.
5) CaratWeight: This lists the diamond weights.
6)Color: This lists the color grade of the diamond.
7) Clarity: This lists the clarity grade of the diamond.
8) Cut: The GIA Laboratory has five cut grades for diamonds. Please note that this section only applies to round diamonds. Any other diamond shape will not have this section in its diamond certificate.
9) Polishing: The smoothness of the diamond face. From EX gold to POOR.
10) Symmetry: Symmetry refers to the accuracy of the shape of the diamond and the position of the symmetry plane.
(11) Fluorescence: The fluorescence of a diamond. It is categorized as none, weak, moderate, strong or very strong.
12) GIA Diamond Engraving: This section shows diamonds on the girdle
13) Comments: In this section, there will be other comments about the diamond.
(14-18) Diamond proportions: diamond table percentage, depth percentage, crown angle, pavilion angle and girdle thickness.
19) Clarity Characteristics: This section plots the clarity characteristics of the diamond. It is shown from the top of the diamond table and the bottom of the diamond to accurately show the location of inclusions in the diamond.
20) Symbols: Each type of clarity feature has its own symbol, and you may note on the chart whether it is cloud, feather, twinning wisp, etc.
